Hambours' 100% Quality Guarantee

Hambours guarantee all garments bearing our 'Hambours' label against faulty materials and workmanship**.  This guarantee covers school uniforms and includes faulty studs, zips and buttons.

We hope that you are completely satisfied with your purchase, but we know there are reasons why you may not be.

1. No one’s perfect – but we aim for the best at Hambours

Over 99.6% of Hambours school uniforms leave our warehouse very happy and in perfect order. Every now and then one slips past our eagle eyes. Let us know immediately and we can arrange to check your item, and if it does not meet our high standards it will be repaired where possible or replaced.

Please remember to follow all care instructions as we cannot be held responsible for unreasonable wear and tear.

2. Change your mind? That's okay too.

If you decide you no longer require the garment you can return any Hambours labeled garment within the first 30 days of the original purchase date to receive a full refund. Note that garments ordered and or paid for in our November sale periods will be covered until the end of February.

All we ask is that:

  • Uniforms are returned unworn and in their original packaging.
  • Uniforms are not altered in any way e.g. hem taken up, name on label.
  • You have proof of purchase which should be either a printed receipt or online order number.

Exceptions on these returns:

  • Made to Measure garments (MTM)
  • Garments that have been made to order (MTO) e.g. Numbered Football Guernsey.

How to return your items

1. Returning online purchases

If you have not already done so, log in to your online account at this online store so you can view your past orders. 

  1. Go to our online shop for your school.
  2. Go to your Order History and view the order with the goods you'd like to return.
  3. Select the products you wish to return and select 'Return Products' from the 'Choose an action with selected' .
  4. Fill in any additional information as requested and click on Continue to send the information to Customer Service.
  5. Customer Service will email you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) Number
  6. Package your return item(s) and ensure your RMA number is clearly printed on the package addressed as follows:

  7. Receipt of your returned goods will be confirmed by email, and you can check ongoing return status on your Order History page.

2. Returning In-store purchases

Call into our retail store with your items for return, and ensure you have your original sales docket and receipt with you as proof of purchase.


We know that there are always exceptions to the rule.
If you are not sure if your garment is covered, please don’t hesitate contact us.

** Note: we do not accept returns or exchanges on hats for hygiene reasons. Please check your hat purchases carefully at sale.
